Heritage Trail Pop-Up Museum

Every summer, for one day only, Loomis Basin Historical Society presents a "pop-up" history museum, on display at the Loomis Library as part of the Heritage Trail Placer County Museums Tour.
View photos and exhibits on the pioneers, Chinatowns, schoolhouses, and fruit sheds of the Loomis Basin. Watch a video featuring historical footage of fruit packing in the 1930s. See a special display on Japanese American families, presented by the Still Standing Guard Group. Find your own family’s history in the genealogy book collection with help from the Placer County Genealogical Society. Fruit-inspired quilt squares from the Loomis Quilt & Fiber Guild will be on display.

FRUIT SHED FEST
Mr. Purple Pumpkinhead changed his colors last year as the Eggplant Festival transformed into the Fruit Shed Fest. He'll be there again this year at the LBHS booth.

Visit our table and do your holiday shopping at the annual Christmas Crafts Faire. We'll have some unique gifts, including a variety of local history publications, fruit crate label bookmarks, refrigerator magnets, and mugs.
The Christmas Crafts Faire is sponsored by the Friends of the Loomis Library. Admission is free.
